Interactive Kiosks to be part of Boone County Library’s new Burlington branch

BURLINGTON, KYElectronic Art (www.electronicart.com), a full-service interactive agency that specializes in computer kiosks and high-end Web-based software development, will be designing two informational kiosks for the new public library opening in Burlington, Kentucky.

The kiosks will serve as an information center at the entrance of the library. Each kiosk will provide information about the library, daily events, meeting dates, and a wayfinding tool to assist guests with navigating the new large two-floor library. Visitors will also be able browse commonly needed information for newcomers to the community, such as voting information, school information, and local landmark sites. The population of Boone County Kentucky continues to grow, and the kiosks will aid new residents using the library.

The Burlington Branch Library is scheduled to open January 5, 2008, and will serve as Boone County's new Main Library. The building will be 75,000 square feet, will include 10 meeting rooms and 48 computers, and will hold 250,000 books.
